UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).
Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Woolmoor (North Yorkshire, England) mast?

Hi there,
I have just noticed that the Bilsdale Transmitter coverage stretches right down from where I live in Hartlepool down to York, but The Woolmoor transmitter does not cover half the distance coming back.
I wanted to receive BBC Radio York FM from the Woolmoor transmitter. But the signal, compared with the National BBC radio stations on the same mast, is quite nullified and not able to stretch up here.
Is this something to do with licensing problems or something?
Many thanks
Garry Herring

Hello it is Sun eve the 18 nov and tonight at 19.00 hrs I noticed a prog on big bands, vocals, and jazz However, tuning in on either DAB or the Woolmoor tx on fm I didn't hear this- instead a prog called Connections being broadcast on BBC Radio Leeds - I could not find anywhere why York was taking the Leeds broadcast - I have obviously missed something. Can you explain plse. Thank you. Kenneth Taylor.

Kenneth Taylor: Try contacting the radio station and asking them, this isn't their website.
