Charmian and David:
There are no reports of any problems with the Oxford transmitter. Enegineering work is not carried at at night either. So the problems must either be with your system or the effects of high pressure. Start by carefully checking all your aerial cables and connections. Unplug all coaxial plugs and sockets and then refit them. Then check whether your signals have returned. DO NOT RETUNE.

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. However, after following your instructions, no channels returned so I gave up and watched on line. I am pleased to report that the service has returned this morning and all is well at present. Thanks for endeavouring to help.

Hi.
Not sure if I am allowed to post a link or not but I noticed on another site it mentioned atmospheric conditions are very bad...
"Weather related Freeview reception issues: Eastern England will see relatively strong interferece to terrestrial TV and radio in the next 48-72 hours. Parts of Wales, West Midlands and NW England are especially prone to some interference in the next 24 hours.
Later this weekend, all western parts of Britain and Ireland will see conditions conducive to very strong interference. Southern coastal areas will also continue to see periodic interference. Do not retune. This is not a fault with your local TV transmitter. "
Hope that helps. Had been having signal issues for most of Friday night. Tonight seems better. Am on the Oxford transmitter living near Cirencester (GL7).

Thanks for that. It's what we contributors have been saying for several days now. As we cannot control the weather it is a natural phenomenon that nobodt can control or change, so patience is required until the weather pattern changes.
