Kathryn Hitchen: If you're suffering with 4G interference you should contact an organisation called AT800 (see link below) who will provide a free plug-in filter. Although it's surprising the engineer didn't direct you to them (or just fit a filter for you) if they suspected 4G interference to be the cause of your problem.

Deborah:
Falmouth is not served by the Winter Hill transmitter, which is near Bolton in Lancashire! If you give a full post code, we can advise which transmitter would be more appropriate.

Recent work on the transmitters at Winter Hill were to the DAB one and not the TV ones, so nop change at the transmitter end. Check all the aerial connections to your equipment first and then check what the signal strengths are for each service. They should all be between 55% and 80%, any less or any more will cause problems.

Hi, I have a question regarding DAB reception. When I am listening to a local Merseyside radio station; ie Radio Merseyside; am I receiving the signal from the Billing or Winter Hill transmitter. I live vertually in the centre of St. Helens. I think the local DAB ensemble reference is 10B?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.
Gary.

St. Helens
G. Whittle WA10 2EA: The Liverpool local DAB multiplex covers St Helens from both Billinge Hill and Winter Hill so you will most likely be receiving a combined signal from both transmitters. Unlike FM where two or more transmitters with overlapping signals on the same frequency would cause interference, DAB radios are able to combine the signal from the same multiplex being broadcast on two or more transmitters to enhance reception.

Haven't had Sky News and several other stations for a while now - only caught it briefly once or twice in the past week. Any reason for this? We are in the A41, A49, A534 area in Cheshire, within a few miles of Broxton.
